BISPLATE HHA 500
BISPLATE Armour HHA 500 steel is a quenched and tempered steel armour plate suitable for use in both military and civil applications where light weight and resistance to ballistic projectiles are required.
The chemical specification of BISPLATE Armour HHA 500 steel conforms to the requirements of MIL-DTL-46100, although tighter, so as to optimise the material’s performance.
Chemical analyses are taken on a per-heat basis.
BISPLATE Armour HHA 500 steel has a hardness range of 477 - 534 HBW with a nominal hardness of 500 HBW
APPLICATION
BISPLATE® High Impact Armour Plate Class 1 (BISPLATE® HIA Class 1) – a quenched and tempered steel armour plate, possessing very good weldability, suitable for use in both military and civil applications where high rates of shock loading and resistance to penetration by ballistic projectiles are required.
